Shipping & Returns

Where does MARLMARL ship to?

Right now, we ship to the United States and Canada. We do aim to expand all over the world, so please contact us if you want to see MARLMARL in your country! If you want your order shipped to Japan, China, or South Korea, please visit the website for those countries [Global Shop List]. 

Where do you ship from?

As of right now, all of our orders are shipped from our distribution center in Chiba, Japan. This will be updated as soon as we establish our distribution center in the US!

How much does shipping cost?

Free shipping to North America! We don’t ship to P.O. box & military (APO/AFO)

*Please not that we cannot label shipments as gifts, as such there is a chance you may be charged for import duties by your local customs office.

How long does shipping take?

Every order has a 3-5 business day processing time, then it’s up to our international courier which could take up to 4 weeks for delivery. Please give yourself ample time (3-4 weeks) before the gift-giving occasion/date.

*Please note that shipping dates may be delayed at year-end and on national holidays in Japan and North America. 

Can you ship it faster?

Unfortunately, no we don't offer express shipping as of now.

How can I track my order?

As soon as your order is on the road, you’ll receive a tracking number. It will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout. Please make sure you register with the correct email address.

Where is my order?

If you are unavailable at the time of delivery, please check your mailbox for a card or redelivery slip. Your local post office is most likely holding your package for you! Please check with them for the final pick-up or delivery.

Note: After the package leaves our distribution center, it's out of our hands and up to the couriers.

Can I cancel or change my order after it’s placed?

Contact us immediately if you need to cancel or change your order.

As long as the order has not yet been fulfilled, we will be able to modify your cart.

*Please note that cancellation fees may be charged and they must be paid by the customer.

Can I return or exchange an item?

As of right now, all sales are final. 

*If you believe you’ve received a defective item, please check the policy page and contact us immediately.

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Google pay, and Shop Pay.

Do you offer discounts or sales?

Since we’re a gift brand and not an apparel brand, we do not offer any discounts or sales in Japan or worldwide.

Will a receipt be included?

To avoid awkward gifting situations, we do not print or include any receipts with our packages. If you need a receipt, it will be available on “My page” and in the order confirmation email.

Do you have gift cards?

Not yet! We’ll make an announcement when these are added.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

All gift sets are wrapped by default. We’re gradually expanding our wrapping options, please subscribe to our newsletter for updates!

Can I order in bulk/wholesale?

Do you provide samples?

We do not, but next time you’re in Japan, we’d be happy to welcome you to one of our stores!

Where are your products made? 

All of our products are all designed in Tokyo and manufactured in Japan and China.

How do I know what size to buy?

Detailed dimensions and sizes can be found on the specific item’s product page. Please double check the size before ordering.

My item has untrimmed fabric/edge/hem

For visual beauty and a loose silhouette, our designers decided to go with untrimmed hems on a number of our items including Tutu and Brim.

How do I clean the products?

Detailed care information can be found on the specific item’s product page.

Can I order individual parts (button, etc.)?

No, our products are sold as a whole and unfortunately we cannot supply individual parts or pieces of them.

Are your products sustainably made?

As of 2021, we can confirm that over 70% of our products are sustainably produced. This is one of our core focuses and we are heavily involved with in SDGs in Japan, you can find our monthly sustainability reports on marlmarl.com/news

Do your products have a warranty?

No, they do not, but we believe that by using the highest quality materials and fabrics on top of designing our products for long-term use, they will outlast childhood.
